What's it worth to reduce leadership performance risk and increase value? Well in baseball, it would be the difference between a batting average of .250 and .350. It’s the difference between a middling player and Hall of Fame material, between a player who can hit only certain pitches and one who can handle just about anything, and in major league salaries, its worth about $17 M a year.
Now in leadership, we don't keep score quite the same way. But we recognize the difference between a partial leader who's good in only certain situations, and one who can handle anything. Given the 4 patterns, and the fact that leaders have preferences while life does not, what do you suppose the blind chances are that a leader will be in the right pattern at the right time? Right...about .250. What would it be worth to your business to have leaders who have significantly higher odds?
Everywhere leaders turn today, they face paradox. Do we focus on the short term or invest in the long term? Yes. Do we drive performance or develop our people? Yes. Do we do what’s right for our shareholders or what’s right for our communities? Yes. Of course, these “yes’s” collide, which is what makes leadership so interesting. But there is an art and a science keeping the tension healthy, which is what I especially enjoy teaching leaders. Working with the science of the energy patterns, and the art of managing a healthy
balance among them – in leadership practices, strategy, culture and more – I help my clients master the complexity of today.

Our leadership programs and executive
coaching move leaders beyond talk to
authentic action, beyond cognitive learning
to embodied learning, beyond development
plans to real outcomes.
Nothing accelerates development more than mindfulness in the body, which we foster through pattern awareness, agility and mindful practice. Working with the energy patterns enables a leader to bring the right focus to right now. It's part of our approach to executive coaching. It's part of our approach to leadership programs. And we do it better than anyone.
